Refunds, Repairs & Service Policy

Effective Date: 29 September 2026

Last Updated: 29 September 2026

This policy applies to repairs, installations, technical support and other services supplied by NovaIT.

1. Diagnostics

Technical faults may require inspection or testing before the cause of the problem can be confirmed.

Where a diagnostic fee applies, NovaIT will communicate this before chargeable diagnostic work is performed.

2. Quotations

Quotations are based on the condition and information available at the time of assessment.

If further faults or requirements become apparent, the customer may be contacted before additional chargeable work is carried out.

3. Parts

Certain repairs require replacement components. Parts may be subject to supplier availability, lead times and manufacturer or supplier warranty conditions.

4. Deposits

NovaIT may require a deposit before ordering parts or beginning specialised or project-based work.

5. Completed Services

Fees for work that has already been properly performed are generally not refundable merely because the customer later decides that the service is no longer required.

This does not affect any right or remedy available to a consumer under applicable South African law.

6. Faults Following a Repair

If you believe a fault is directly related to work performed by NovaIT, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide the relevant invoice or job details.

NovaIT may need to inspect the equipment before determining whether the problem relates to the original repair, a replacement part or a separate fault.

7. Unrelated or New Faults

A repair relates to the work specifically carried out. Electronic equipment can contain multiple independent components, and a subsequent failure may not necessarily relate to an earlier repair.

8. Customer-Supplied Parts

Where NovaIT agrees to install parts supplied by a customer, NovaIT cannot provide a supplier or manufacturer warranty for those customer-supplied parts.

Any labour obligations will be assessed separately from the condition or quality of the customer-supplied part.

9. Software and Data

Customers should maintain backups of important data before repair, software installation, operating-system work or hardware upgrades.

Where storage media is already damaged or corrupted, data recovery cannot be guaranteed.

10. Cancellations

Customers should notify NovaIT promptly if they wish to cancel approved work.

Reasonable costs already incurred, including ordered parts, completed labour or non-refundable third-party costs, may remain payable where permitted by law.

11. Consumer Protection

This policy does not remove or restrict statutory rights that apply under South African consumer law.
